Adoption Agencies and Information for Albania

The government office responsible for adoptions in Albania is the Albanian Adoption Committee, located within the Ministry of Justice.  Individuals may not deal directly with the Albanian Adoption Committee or with individual orphanages or biological parents.
All adoptions must be processed by an adoption agency accredited by the Albanian Adoption Committee. Currently, two U.S. adoption agencies have been accredited. Both agencies are listed on the U.S. Embassy website: http://tirana.usembassy.gov/
