Adoption Agencies and Information for Iraq

The Department of State and adoption agencies in the U.S. receive many inquiries from American citizens concerned about the plight of the children of Iraq and wondering about the possibility of adopting them. At this time (January, 2007), it is not possible to adopt a child from Iraq.

The Department of State continues to strongly warn U.S. citizens against travel to Iraq, which remains very dangerous.
