Adoption Agencies and Information for Venezuela
The adoption authority for Venezuela, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has advised the U.S. Embassy in Caracas that only citizens from countries that have ratified the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoptions are eligible to adopt
in Venezuela. At the present time (January, 2007) the United States has not finished the process of ratifying the Convention, thus U.S. citizens are not allowed to adopt.
