How to Get a Printed Copy

We offer Dr. Berger's self help adoption manual at no cost on this website. If you feel a printed copy would be convenient, please feel free to print one from our website or you can find information on ordering the manual below.

We understand the adoption process can be a little frightening and intimidating.  That is why we have made available our self-help manual entitled, "An Adoption Expert Tells You: What to Do First, What to Do Next, What are the Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them."

Dr Berger, a licensed psychologist and director of Adoption Services, has written this manual based on his experiences with over 9,000 adopting families and birth parents over the past 40 years.

This "self-help" manual is designed to guide you all the ways to adopt.  Whether you are considering a private adoption, an agency adoption, a domestic or international adoption, an open or closed adoption, the manual will take you step-by-step, through what you need to know.

The manual has nothing to do with working with our agency.  You will find it valuable whether you decide to have us help you or not.  It was the only item we used to sell and was available at the cost of $35.00 (plus 3.95 shipping and handling).

We have now included it, at no cost, on this website. Please note that the first section of the manual is testimonials many of which you will find in the testimonials section of this website.

If you would like us to send you a printed copy of the manual, we will send it to you but will charge the same fee that hundreds of adopting families have paid over the years.  To order the hard printed copy of the manual, please send your name, address, and phone number along with a check for $38.95 to:

Adoption Services, Inc.
28 Central Blvd.,
Camp Hill, PA  17011

Please remember that the printed copy is no difference in content than that found on this website at no cost.

Adoption Consultant Resource

Why You Need an Adoption Consultant

There are many risks when you go to adopt a child including losing a child after you have already taken them home (referred to as a disruption), loosing all of the money you have invested in the adoption if the birth mother changes her mind, or finding that there are previously unknown or undisclosed fees that may appear. Dr Berger has helped thousands of  adopting families with domestic adoptions and international adoptions and he is available to assist you no matter what type of adoption you chose to pursue and regardless of whether you work with an adoption agency, facilitator or adoption attorney.  He can help you save your  time, effort and money in helping you to decide what routes to take and the best way to achieve your goal of adopting a child. He can help reduce your risks and potential pain and can help you avoid many of the problems and pitfalls found in the adoption process. You can read and download his free adoption manual or, for more information on how he can help you, please visit his Adoption Consultant link or contact him by phone (1-800-943-0400) or email.
