Adoption Agencies and Information for Bolivia
Bolivia is currently closed to adoptions by US citizens. Bolivia ratified the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption in January 2002. Bolivian adoptions have ceased between countries that have not yet implemented the Convention and,
as of the time of this update (Jan. 2007), the United States has not yet implemented the Convention. Due to the current restrictions on intercountry adoptions in Bolivia, there are currently no licensed adoption agencies in Bolivia handling the
adoption of Bolivian children by U.S. citizens.
